Cuts have literally taken food out of children's mouths. Now it's our elderly. Is this really necessary so that the rich can have more and more? From Campaign for America's Future:
Nationwide, thousands of homebound seniors will not get a hot meal
tonight because Congress has cut funding for Meals on Wheels as part of
the sequester.
These funds are vital because for millions of
seniors, Social Security isn’t enough to lift them out of poverty and
hunger. In fact, in the last decade there was a 78 percent increase in
senior hunger.
Send an urgent message to Congress demanding full funding to Meals On Wheels and other programs that prevent senior hunger.
