Sanders and social democracy

Good article on how Sanders is promoting a successful, historical movement in the US. It loosely defines social democracy as "egalitarian objectives could be evolved over time through parliamentary democracy and without suddenly overturning bourgeois institutions of private property." It has been most successful in the Nordic countries. It maintains capitalism but under regulation to distribute fairly the benefits to all. It of course required higher taxes, especially for the wealthiest, in order to pay for the robust social benefits.
