Maher makes us aware that things can indeed change for the better. There was a time when religion ruled people's minds as an irrefutable truth but that is changing due to pressure from we the people. The same goes for gun legislation. We no longer have to kiss the ass of the gun lobby and 2nd Amendment but we can change it.
